Cold in-place recycling pavements are vulnerable to rutting with curing - a time period that can be reduced 3 to 7 days with special engineered emulsions before placement of the wearing course.

Open-graded

Cold in-place recycling pavements are more flexible than hot-mix asphalt but have higher air voids so they must have an asphalt seal coat or wearing course to prevent moisture damage.
